Subject: [ccicoaches] Calling All Experienced Executive Career Coaches!
Hello,I am writing for some help / guidance and hope that you will be able to help.I will be running my first workshop on executive career coaching next week! I would like to incorporate some exercises / role plays as part of the content in order that it is not purely theortically based and the delegates have some practical skills to take away with them and incorporate into their daily lives. As this is all relatively new to me, I hoped that you may be able to offer me some guidance or examples of what you have used in your work.Any help will be very much appreciated.Thanking you in advance.Warmest wishes,Clare
Hi Clare:
I would suggest you create some role plays around certain situations the executives would experience in their day to day interactions, try to get some situations from the executives themselves so they have the opportunity to work through a real life issue. Create a role play that would demonstrate an ineffective coaching session and then one for a positive and effective coaching session, then after the role play do a debrief and discuss what each participant did right and offer suggestions for improvement when something went wrong or there was a missed opportunity. If you can get this information upfront and draft some dialogue around the scenarios that would be great or you can have the participants brainstorm and work through this issue during the class.
Hope this helps.
